African swine fever (ASF) is an infectious disease that only infects animals belonging to the hog family (ex. domestic pigs, wild boars,
etc.). It was originally built after the first outbreak in the African continent. It is mainly spread through secretions (tears, saliva,
excreta, etc.) from infected pigs or wild boars. The incubation period is maintained for about 4 to 20 days. Pigs with this disease die
after showing high fever of 40 degrees or more, anorexia, inability to stand, indigestion, vomiting, and bleeding, and female pigs may
have miscarriage or stillbirth. The African swine fever virus is resistant to the environment and is highly viable, so it is not
easily sterilized. In particular, it is highly contagious to pigs, so even in the state of a pig's carcass, it is feared to spread
infection by parasitic in blood and tissues.

Mmiso® detection kit is an in vitro diagnostic
reagent for animals that helps to confirm ASFV
infection with high sensitivity within a short time.
It uses nucleic acids isolated from blood or tissue
from animals with African swine fever disease
symptoms, and it can be qualitatively analyzed
by loop-mediated isothermal amplification
method.
